I wanted to say how great your service was.. from beginning to end. My neighbour and I had a huge holly tree that had died and sat between our properties. Franz applied for a City Permit to cut it down, organized a time to come and remove it.. and he and his staff did a great job of removing the whole tree, as well as tidying up the area afterwards. Franz was easy to talk to, explained the procedure with City Hall, which we were not familiar with, and removed the tree professionally and in a short time. I would highly recommend this service.

Franz did a major tree removal on a steep and terraced hill close to buildings – it was tricky. He was very professional, making sure when topping trees that his equipment didn’t damage other trees. Franz is very safe, easy to get along with and has lots of knowledge. He cares about his work, which is neat and accurate. Franz also went above and beyond what we were asking. In my profession (I own a construction company) I’ve worked with other arborists but now Franz is my ‘go-to’ guy. I won’t hesitate to refer Franz—he also worked for my brother– and I will call on Franz again.

Several landscapers and even one arborist told me that the ivy on my cedar trees couldn’t be removed, and the trees would eventually die. I hired Franz (recommended from my landscaper) to prune the trees and allow more sunlight in my yard, and he asked me if I wanted the ivy removed! My trees will now outlive me. As well, Franz is very conscientious: while pruning he noticed a raccoon in the tree and because it was springtime, he didn’t want to disturb any possible babies. So he finished the job a few months later, when the family had moved out.

I found Franz at Ash Grove Tree Solutions very professional and courteous to work with. He answered all my questions and provided the most economical solutions to my problem of taking down a declining birch that was a hazard. He spent time assessing my trees and coming up with the arborist report needed by the city to allow removal. He also filed the application and provided me with a copy when the plan was accepted. Throughout the process, he made several trips to the property and was very knowledgeable regarding the city bylaws of tree removal.

Franz cut down trees for us and our neighbour and he also planted some, which he chose. I know he is an arborist but he went over and above his job and trimmed our big cedar hedges. We are all are very happy and will definitely call him back.
